Bor's schools are developing to meet the 21st century

The organization is now changing for all the four schools in our area. The three schools for grades 1 to 5, Bor, Gällaryd and Tånnö, are integrating the childcare system for 6-year-olds with the school. This system is called flexible school start.

Within the new curriculum, the Lpo 94, we spend two hours a week for something called 'elevens val', or The pupil's own choice. From the different subjects on the curriculum, every pupil make their own choice of a subject to study the additional two hours.

International exchange
In addition to the traditional daily work at school, we also have ambitions to achieve international exchange in order to increase respect and understanding between people.IT-profile Something we are not going to change is our since long established

IT-profile.
The work is going on, and more PCs are installed in the schools. The pupils can use them to do research, to practise foreign languages, for multimedia, to surf the net or use them as a writing tool.

The environment
We try to achieve good standards in respect to the environmental demands we meet. Clean water, growing woods and healthy food are essential things for all living creatures, including human beings, so ecology is another of our main concerns.
